In the recently-released trailer for What Men Want, Taraji P. Henson portrays a sports agent trying to break the glass ceiling as she loses a coveted position to a male co-worker. In trying to do that, a friend recommends she go see a psychic who might be able to help, with that psychic being the one and only Badu.
"I can connect you help with men. Let's have some tea," Badu says to Henson. "This smells like dirt," Henson replies, to which Baud hilariously responds "Oh, that's just jasmine tea. If you don't count the weed, the peyote, and the crack." After consuming the tea Henson slowly begins to realize she can read men's minds and, well...just watch the rest of the trailer to see what else happens.
What Men Want is a gender-flipped take on the 2000 Mel Gibson movie What Women Want. Aside from Badu and Henson, the film features Tracy Morgan and Pete Davidson. It comes out in January 2019.
