Erykah Badu Announces Expansive Summer and Fall 2021 Tour
Erykah Badu is hitting the road this year.
With stages across the country springing back to life, Erykah Badu is setting out to light them all ablaze.
The seminal Soulquarian has announced an 18-date run of live shows for this summer and fall. The tour commences in her hometown of Dallas on September 3rd, making a few stops in the midwest on the way to the east coast, where she'll perform in Bridgeport, Atlantic City, New York City, and Portsmouth, before heading south in October and eventually closing out the sprint in Atlanta at the end of the month.
Like so many artists who bank on the revenue bump from the road, touring (and all of its financial benefit,) hit a full stop for Badu during the COVID-19 pandemic. But that didn't keep her from making a handful of digital-only appearances during the lockdown and even running her own virtual concert series during the early days (weeks? months? years?) of the pandemic, hosting performances from Liv.e and Nick Hakim to celebrate the release of their respective 2020 projects.
