Esperanza Spalding Rocks "One" On Jimmy Kimmel Live Like The Queen That She Is
Fresh off the announcement of her upcoming Emily’s D+Evolution project, jazz bassist, vocalist and bandleader Esperanza Spalding took to the stage on Jimmy Kimmel Live to perform "One," which in fact came during a live on-stage reveal of the entire album. Played at New York City's Brooklyn Academy of Music with the support of a full backing band, "One" took shape as a massive mood piece, with Spalding's voice soaring in its falsetto range.
Watch the performance below and, should you be lucky enough to reside in/visit Europe this autumn, catch Spalding at one of her many upcoming live tour dates. Emily's D+Evolution hasn't been given an official release date just yet, so check back for more word and for now, enjoy the regal sounds; Esperanza sounds as queenly as ever.
