Ghostface Killah & BADBADNOTGOOD Collide w/ MF DOOM On The Soulful New Cut "Ray Gun"
Ghostface Killah -- fresh off a blazing Tonight Show set -- lets go of another treat from his forthcoming BADBADNOTGOOD collaborative piece Sour Soul with "Ray Gun" featuring the mighty MF DOOM. The Torontonian punk-funk trio provide a stunning cinematic soulscape for the legends to wheel and deal their verbal athletics over, lush with touches of strings and horns. As the track comes to a close it transforms into something darker and stormier altogether, channelling scores from old French spy flicks; the perfect cap for a track that manages to hone the collision of these two beasts of the microphone.
The collaborative schemes here are almost too much to try and explain. BBNG and GFK's Sour Soul LP is slated for a February 24 drop with all tracks produced by the trio and Frank Dukes. But on top of all that, the long-rumored and colossal collaboration of ole metal fingers and Pretty Tony AKA DOOMStarksis apparently real and suspected to land at some point in 2015, so be sure to keep your head on a swivel for that. In the meantime, lay your ears on the ultra-cool cinematic funk&soul of BADBADNOTGOOD and Ghostface Killah's all-too-proper link up with MF DOOM on "Ray Gun" below and keep it locked for all the goodies as we creep up on the release of Sour Soul.
