Governors Ball 2019 was cut short.
Day 3 of the festival, which took place in New York City over the weekend (May 31, 2019 – Jun 3, 2019), ended in attendees leaving the venue on foot and walk across the Randalls Island bridge after an evacuation was ordered.
A statement was posted to the festival's official Instagram and Twitter accounts on Sunday evening that read, "Due to approaching severe weather and evacuation is in effect."
Sets from The Strokes and SZA, who were slated to headline the festival, were cut.

The decision came after rain delays and canceled sets on Saturday. The festival had been delayed for six hours earlier in the day due to forecasted storms. It did not rain and fans ended up waiting until doors opened at 6:30 p.m.
