Grace Jones Has Replaced M.I.A. As The Afropunk London Headliner
In case you've missed the note, the build-up to Afropunk's London installation has been nothing short of a shit-show. First M.I.A.'s in, then she's out, then she's in again and now, it appears she's officially been replaced. But rejoice, good people. The fiercest femme on the planet (to this day!) has stepped up to command the headlining spot. Yes, none other than Miss Grace Jones will be this year's coup de grace at Afropunk London, joining the likes of SZA, Laura Mvula, GoldLink, Kwabs and some of Soulection's finest on a potent-as-all-hell bill.
This year's festival will take place on September 24th at Alexandra Palace, and is expected to be at capacity. Be sure to secure your day passes as soon as humanly possible to insure your spot. You can do so by hitting the link below. If you're looking to get a taste of just what Grace Jones is capable of in a live and direct setting, refer back to last year's Afropunk in Brooklyn for a quick primer.
