Hear A Pre-College Dropout Kanye Rhyme Over Another Chaka Khan Gem

Troubled as he may appear at times, some of us love the new Kanye. Others opt for the Chicago rapper's pre-808s output. But today we're turning our focus on some Ye's earliest recordings, as the new leak "Baby's Coming" has just surfaced upon these internets for your day's dose of throwback vibes.

The track reveals that Mr. West had an affinity for Chaka Khan chops well before he was rapping "Through The Wire," going in over the r&b queen's 1983 smash "Ain't Nobody," which was almost pitched to Quincy Jones and Michael Jackson for inclusion on Thriller had the label not made it the lead single off Stompin' At The Savoy. Nerd stuff aside, Kanye's take likely dates back to the late-nineties, as it is attributed to "Kanye West & The Go-Getters" and the bars are much more playful than poignant.

Either way, it's a nice glimpse into the young mind of Ye, well before his classic College Dropout debut, and certainly has us wondering if you really love that old Kanye. Hear "Baby's Coming" down below and hold tight for Yeezy's next episode. Shouldn't be long now.
