Hear Two Freshly-Unearthed Notorious B.I.G. Freestyles ca. 1995
"I went from construction Tims to Ac's and rims"
Suppose we've all seen that equally notorious clip of the late Christopher Wallace, better known as The Notorious B.I.G., lighting up a fellow Bed Stuy native in a heated cypher outside of a local grocery store. He was just an adolescent at the time, though you'd have a tough time gauging based on the weight of those words and that still unmatched flow.
Today, Tim Westwood has shared a clip of the Brooklyn bomber going in during a 1995 session with Bad Boy's Craig Mack and Puffyhis London studio. It's a rare and fully mastered 10-minute clip featuring Mack and Biggie trading bars over two bruising suites; Biggie sharing a couple quick tales of illicit corner behavior and playing Street Fighter 2 in the bodega, Mack rasping through his stream-of-consciousness lines. The king here, of course, is Bed Stuy's finest. Thankfully, the session was spared lines from the Bad Boy chief.
