Herbie Hancock To Deliver Lecture Series At Harvard
Harvard's newly appointed Norton Professor of Poetry Herbie Hancock is getting set to deliver a series of six lectures at the esteemed institution. The honorary professorship is dawned on distinguished creative figures throughout the arts; Herbie being one of the foremost innovators in music at large makes him the perfect candidate and recipient for the honor. His lectures are slated to cover a broad base of topics, but as of now he has confirmed at least one lecture will solely be devoted to the legacy of his former bandmate and fellow titan Miles Davis.
Another will tackle international diplomacy, drawing from his experience as a goodwill ambassador to the UN.Hancock proclaims that his selection for the honor was "only partially because of music," citing his personal muse to be "life itself" But let's be honest, if the Headhunter hadn't made such a significant contribution to virtually every steez in music, we wouldn't be having this conversation. So you Ivy Leaguers better break away from all of that tedious academia and go cop a seat at one of Herbie Hancock's Norton lectures to get a taste of what a true innovator's regiment is like. We'll have more on the lecture series as more details unfold.
