Here Are All Of The Prince Albums You Can Stream This Weekend
This Sunday, Prince's dearly beloved catalog will return to non-TIDAL streaming platforms for the first time in two years. The move arrives on the heels of a new deal with Universal Music Group that puts the label at helm of the entire WB Records archive and, according to New York Times, the mythical trove of "vault" recordings. Times also reports that Prince's post-1995 recordings are also slated to be released on streaming platforms at some point, though the terms of that deal are still being worked out.
So instead of dreaming up Disney Land scenarios for the massive back catalog, here's a look into exactly what you can find on the cloud this weekend. 18 pre-'95 studio albums (comprising the entirety of his "genius period" recordings as well as the double release, PLECTRUMELECTRUM and ART OFFICIAL AGE ,) and six compilation albums (purple patrons will rejoice at the sight of The Hits records jumping back online.) All of which make for a busy weekend for any and all in the paisley guard. Peep the full list down below and tune in to the Grammys this Sunday for a tribute that will reportedly coincide with the stream-world return.
