It Appears That A New Childish Gambino Album Will Arrive Next Month
With a hit show in Atlanta and more Hollywood checks arriving by the day, many of us have been holding our breath over a new Childish Gambino project making way at some point this year. The material's there. Bino, AKA Donald Glover, previewed the record during a three-day festival that took place in Joshua Tree, CA at the tail-end of summer, dubbed the Pharos experience.
But now it appears we're even closer to the big reveal, as a photo of fourth quarter releases at a FYE store has surfaced with a Childish Gambino project, titled Awaken My Love, sitting pretty at the very end. It's hard to call this a confirmation as no one within his camp has spoken up, but if we're to take Amazon International and AllMusic by their word, we just might get that new Bino album by year's end after all.
According to that photo (see it below,) Childish Gambino's new album Awaken My Love will land on December 2nd via Glassnote. Nothing else is known of the album, but it will serve as his third studio outing and his first since the critically and publicly adored 2013 release, Because The Internet. Hold tight for updates and cross your fingers with the rest of us hoping this is the real deal.
