J. Cole Supports Protestesters During Visit To Ferguson, Missouri
J. Cole recently paid a visit to Ferguson, Missouri to show support for protestors on the ground following the controversial killing of unarmed teen Michael Brown. He paid respects to Brown at a sidewalk memorial and built with residents of the town in a show of solidarity. The visit follows the release of his "Be Free" tribute track in honor of Brown and comes despite a slight dust-up over his decision to use a photo of the slain teen as the cover art for the song; Brown's family reportedly issued a statement asking people to refrain from recycling the photo of their son lying dead in the street. J. Cole's emotional visit features him discussing the personal impact of Brown's death as well as his reasons for coming to town to speak to the people of Ferguson.
