Joey Bada$$, CJ Fly Drop Eight-Minute Freestyle With Statik Selektah
Joey Bada$$ and CJ Fly made an appearance at Shade 45 this week, continuing a busy 2016 for Brooklyn's Pro Era crew.
CJ and Joey Bada$$ were guests on Statik Selektah's Showoff Radio, where they freestyled over Jay Electronica's "Exhibit C," Drake's "Fear," and Statik Selektah's "The Thrill Is Gone," for a total of eight minutes.
Pro Era has stayed productive this year. Nyck Caution released his debut mixtape Disguise The Limit in February, and CJ Fly just released his new project Fly Trap earlier this month. Aaron Rose (formerly known as A La $ole) just dropped a collaborative EP with Brown Bag Allstars producer J57, called Elixir, this weekend.
Joey Bada$$ he has kept busy since his official 2015 debut album B4.Da.$$ with singles like "Devastated," "Brooklyn's Own" and the Statik-produced "Ready," along with cameos for artists like Your Old Droog and BJ The Chicago Kid. He also cut his teeth in Hollywood with a recurring role on the drama Mr. Robot. He rescheduled the release of his new album, A.A.B.A., from this past November to 2017. "It's been delayed 4 perfection," he tweeted.
