Joey Bada$$ Drops Mountain Dew + NBA Sponsored Track "Victory"
Joey Bada$$ dropped the Mountain Dew and NBA's Courtside Project sponsored song "Victory." The basketball themed track was produced by by Kirk Knight and Adam Pallin. Joey is set to perform the track live at this year's upcoming NBA All-Star Weekend in New Orleans. A few weeks back Joey dropped the political track “Land of the Free.” The song addresses America's history of racism and social inequality. Joey raps on the song's bridge "the land of the free is for the free loaders/ leave us dead in the streets then be their organ donors/ they disorganize my people made us all loners/ still got the last names of our slave holders.” The Brooklyn rapper continues "Sorry America but I will not be your soldier/ Obama just wasn’t enough I need some more closure/ and Donald Trump is not equipped to take this country over/ let’s face facts cause we know what’s the real motives." If you missed it, definitely give “Land of the Free” a listen by heading here. Listen to Joey Bada$$' new track "Victory" via Soundcloud below.
