The latest trailer for the upcoming Joker movie has just dropped. The movie, which was directed by Todd Phillips (Wedding Crashers), stars Joaquin Phoenix as the iconic Batman villain.

Judging by the trailer, Phoenix is acting his ass off here. The movie is an origin story: telling the tale of how the Joker went mad and became one of Batman's most fearsome foes.

The film also stars iconic actor Robert De Niro, which makes sense. Martin Scorsese is a producer on the Joker, and, according to reports, the movie is indebted to iconic Scorsese movies like Taxi Driver and The King of Comedy.
