Jon Favreau Confirms a Second Season of 'The Mandalorian'
It is the way.
Following a widely-heralded introductory season, Disney+ has announced The Mandalorian will return in Fall 2020.
Announced via Entertainment Weeklyand confirmed by executive producer, Jon Favreau, on Twitter, a second season of the hit Star Wars spin-off series is on the way from The Mouse's newly-launched streamer. And while prior commitments to The Lion King prevented him from stepping behind the lens for its first run, Favreau assured fans he'll be in the director's chair for at least one of the second season's episodes.

Favreau's reveal arrived within hours of the show's seasons 1 finale airing on Friday, sharing a character model for a Gamorrean (see below,) the green pig-ish things seen guarding Jabba The Hutt's hideout in the franchise-starter, A New Hope.
A precise release date for the second season has yet to be revealed. But that can't be too far down the line now. Hold tight for updates in the weeks and months ahead.
