Anderson .Paak and Justin Timberlake Team Up For "Don't Slack"
The track will appear on the Trolls World Tour soundtrack.
Justin Timberlake's been pretty quiet since his Man of the Woods album in 2018. However, according to a new interview with Zane Lowe, we could be hearing more from him soon.
On Tuesday, Timberlake shared "Don't Slack," his new single with Anderson .Paak from Dreamworks' Trolls World Tour soundtrack. Timberlake and .Paak both appear in the film. Timberlake plays Branch, an "over-cautious, good-hearted survivalist," while .Paak plays Prince D, a "Funk Troll." Mary J. Blige, George Clinton, and Kenan Thompson will also appear in the film.

In the Zane Lowe interview, Timberlake revealed that he and .Paak briefly discussed the idea of a joint project. Obviously, the project is in the very early stages, to say the least. "I hope he doesn't mind that I'm gonna say this right now," Timberlake said, "but we talked about a possible joint project."
Timberlake would note that both of their schedules are currently packed, so it would take some time for a project to materialize. Nonetheless, it may be worth keeping on the radar.

"I don't have an agenda to make an album," Timberlake cautioned. "But if it comes together then it comes together. In the meantime I just want to stack records with people I love, and that I'm inspired by."
Trolls World Tour is set to hit theaters nationwide on April 10.
