Kanye and JAY-Z Reunite at Diddy's Star-Studded 50th Birthday Party
The feuding former collaborators were spotted together for the first time since 2016.
Diddy celebrated his 50th lap around the sun with a predictably lavish gathering last night.
Though it was attended by literally every star one could imagine, the bash hosted an unexpected run-in between Kanye and JAY-Z, who were either showing signs of mending or just being cordial in a very public setting.
Regardless, the former collaborators reportedly haven't been seen together since 2016, when West ranted onstage about their children not playing together. Months later, on his Grammy-winning confessional, 4:44, Hov addressed the tension between them on the song "Kill JAY-Z."

In a follow-up interview, the Brooklyn rapper clarified his jabs: "But what really hurt me was, you can’t bring my kids and my wife into it. Kanye’s my little brother. He’s talked about me 100 times. He made a song called ‘Big Brother.’ We’ve gotten past bigger issues. But you brought my family into it, now it’s a problem with me. That’s a real, real problem. And he knows it’s a problem."
A supercut of scenes from the party (see below,) captured the exchange in realtime, showing a visibly hesitant Kanye approaching a photo-op with his "Big Brother," Pharrell, and the birthday boy. And Hov's absolutely unconcerned.
So who knows how far they've actually come. But I wouldn't bet on a Watch The Throne sequel anytime soon.
