Kanye Speaks on New Album 'Jesus Is King,' Woke Culture & Code Switching

Ahead of the release of Kanye West's upcoming album Jesus Is King he visits LA's 92.3 Big Boy. In a candid interview he broke down his current thoughts on politics, woke culture, social media and more.
During one significant point of the interview he also touches on his newfound relationship with God and what that means for his past music. Throughout the live broadcast Big Boi also asked about Kanye "siding with a slave master" directly referencing his support of President Donald Trump.
On if he's afraid of losing fans due to his support of Trump and pivet to Christian rap:
"I told you I'm only afraid of God. I'm only afraid of my daddy, God. I done been 15 years. I'm telling you that God is showing you that you can have your own thoughts, bro. I been canceled before there was cancel culture."
On if fans will hear music from his past albums at live shows:
"They made movies about Steve Jobs so y'all could understand who I am. Now, when you go to the Apple store, I don't be seeing no iPod 4 . . . Take you to eBay and get you the old Kanye and get you a vintage iPod 4 while you're at it, a Sega 8-bit."
On woke culture:
"Everybody thinks they're so woke but they're following the rules of what woke is supposed to be. Hip-hop ain't never been about following rules. It's been about doing what you feel."
