Kanye West To Have Four Minutes Of Free Reign At MTV VMAs

The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards will be airing live this Sunday (August 28) from Madison Square Garden in New York City at 9 p.m. EST, and the event will be having a very special guest that you'll want to tune in for.

According to a report from Pitchfork Kanye West will make an appearance during the annual awards ceremony, and will be given four minutes to do whatever he wants onstage. The show's producers have no idea what he will decide to do, but no matter what it's going to be memorable.

In 2009 West infamously interrupted Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech for Best Female Video, and unintentionally (or maybe intentionally) became a meme in the process. "Yo Taylor, I'm really happy for you, Imma let you finish but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time…one of the best videos of all time," The Life Of Pablo mastermind said before returning the microphone to a shocked Swift.

The incident soured the two artist's relationship, with them eventually patching everything up only for it to be damaged again because of this year's "Famous" fiasco.

Fast forward to the 2015 MTV VMAs and West received the Video Vanguard Award, and proceeded to deliver a very unforgettable speech and declare his plans to run for president in 2020.

West has performed at the VMAs six times before, so maybe his four minutes will be nothing but that. But we have a few theories on what he might do with his time.

Play a completed version of Only One as everyone watches: What better time to unveil a video game than at the MTV VMAs?

Create a new beat for Turbo Grafx 16 that samples West's conversation with Swift: Television would be changed forever.

Perform "Ultralight Beam" while getting baptized by Kirk Franklin: "This is a God dream / This is everything."

Anyways, West will join already announced performers at the show including: Rihanna, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign. He's also up for Video of the Year thanks to the controversial visuals of "Famous," going up against Adele, Beyoncé and Drake.
