Listen To Kanye West's New Album Opener "Wolves"
Earlier today Kanye West formally launched Yeezy 750 Boost, his new sneaker collaboration with Adidas. This evening West is set to play a live show in New York's Madison Square Park, but the hip-hop luminary has already dropped new music. Those in attendance at the Adidas unveiling were treated to a brand new Kanye track, "Wolves," which features both Chicago MC Vic Mensa and Australian singer Sia.
"Wolves" has yet to be formally released, and both the title and release date of West's new album--the fiercely anticipated follow up to 2013's Yeezus--have yet to be made public. But the new track is fully audible in Adidas's video presentation of Kanye's new sneaker show. Tonight's performance in New York City is free, and is expected to bring out over 10,000 people. It's being billed as the First Annual Roc City Classic, and is also part of this weekend's NBA All Star Game festivities in New York.
Opening with Sia's placid vocals and featuring an even more stripped-down beat structure than we heard on Yeezus's productions, the cut features an auto-tuned bridge from Vic Mensa and the hyper-aggressive vocal delivery that Kanye has made his M.O. in recent years. Stay tuned for more news on Kanye West's upcoming releases and expect to see a formal release of "Wolves" to come our way very soon.
"Wolves" appears at the 8:20 mark.
