Kanye West's "New Slaves" Sample Identified?
May 20, 2013
A fan recently identified the source of the sample for Kanye West's "New Slaves" as Hungarian rock band Omega - a supergroup formed in the early 60s and compared to The Beatles with respect to their popularity in Hungary. Omega's song ”Gyöngyhajú Lány” anchors the track Kanye dropped on the facades of 66 buildings across the globe last week. The debut featured Kanye West's face in a foreboding black and white projection that played like a much more menacing Max Headroom. Check the original track below. Scroll down to compare it to Yeezy's sinister take.
