Kaytranada's 99.9% Wins The 2016 Polaris Music Prize
Kaytranada keeps on racking up the well-deserved accolades for his album, 99.9%. Earlier this evening, The Montreal bred producer took home one of Canada’s top honors winning the 2016 Polaris Music Prize - bestowed upon the year’s best album by a Canadian artist. Kaytranada beat out nominees including Grimes, White Lung, Carly Rae Jepsen, U.S. Girls, and more (shortlist of nominees below) to take home the honor. Kaytranada sums it up:
Along with joining a group of recipients that includes Buffy Sainte-Marie, Feist, Arcade Fire, and more, Kaytranada also wins a $50,000 check with the award. A well deserved honor, and if you haven’t done so yet, go get your copy of 99.9%.
