Watch Kendrick Lamar Bring Out Kodak Black At Rolling Loud Miami 2022
During his headlining set at Rolling Loud Miami, Kendrick Lamar brought out Kodak Black to perform "Silent Hill" for the first time.
Ye wasn't the only surprise guest at Rolling Loud Miami over the weekend. During Kendrick Lamar's headlining set on Sunday (June 24), Kodak Black joined the Pulitzer Prize-winner to perform their collaboration "Silent Hill" from Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers.
While performing on the main stage, fans observed Kodak wearing a GPS ankle monitor due to his drug trafficking arrest earlier this month, to which he was placed on house arrest. Also in the set, Lamar performed tracks from Big Steppers including “N95,” “Count Me Out” and “Savior,” along with notables from good kid, m.A.A.d city, To Pimp a Butterfly and DAMN. His 2015 classic "Alright" was recently featured in the official trailer for forthcoming Marvel Studios film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which premieres in November. The rapper was also curator for 2018 Black Panther soundtrack.
Baby Keem, who performed at Rolling Loud Miami in his own separate set, also joined Kendrick Lamar onstage to perform their Grammy-winning collaboration "Family Ties" from Keem's debut album The Melodic Blue.
Kodak, who was featured extensively throughout Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers last thanked Lamar publicly during the inaugural Kodak Black Day festival at Pompano Beach on June 11, the event also marking his 25th birthday.
“I really appreciate [Kendrick Lamar], you know, acknowledging me and all of that," Kodak said. "And he a Gemini like me. I just know he’s a real one. He’s a real one and I appreciate him."
Lamar embarked on the North American leg of The Big Steppers Tour on July 19 in Oklahoma City, with the 65-date expedition continuing on Wednesday (July 27) in Tampa. With pgLang opening acts Baby Keem and Tanna Leone, The Big Steppers Tour will end in Auckland, New Zealand on December 16.
