Police Release Graphic Photos Showing How Kenneka Jenkins Was Found In Hotel Freezer
WARNING: Photos are graphic.
Police from Rosemont, Illinois has released new photographs showing how Chicago teenager Kenneka Jenkins was found dead in a hotel freezer last month. In a report from the Chicago Tribune, the photographs show Jenkins wearing the same jeans and jean jacket she had on in surveillance videos of her walking through the hotel before her death. However, the shirt beneath her jacket "was pulled up exposing her breasts," according to a police report.

Lawyers for Jenkins' mother, Tereasa Jenkins, say the photos "raise more questions than answers."
Still, Rosemont police have decided to close the case, saying that they found no evidence that Jenkins was the victim of foul play.
"Our detective reported no signs of foul play throughout the whole investigation," Police Chief Donald Stephens III said in a statement. "There is no evidence that Ms. Jenkins was forced to drink alcohol or consume any narcotics while at the hotel."
"While there were many theories, rumors and much speculation floating around social media regarding the death of Ms. Jenkins, none were supported with facts," Stephens added. "While all leads and theories were investigated by our department, what we have reported throughout the investigation and again, today, are facts."
Rosemont police had previously reported that a worker at Rosemont's Crowne Plaza O'Hare Hotel discovered the teen lying face down on her side inside the industrial walk-in freezer. There were no signs of trauma but Jenkins did have a small cut on her foot and was missing a shoe.
Also included in the police reports are testimonies from some of Jenkins' friends, who said they received death threats after the body was discovered. The documents also stated that the hotel initially checked the exit and entrance surveillance cameras and then went back and looked at footage showing the hallways.
