In a video of the speech posted to Charlamagne Tha God's facebook account, Killer Mike can be seen saying, "We have a choice. We don't have to be nobody's motherfuckin' savages," he said. "We ain't gotta be their examples of the wrong way. We ain't gotta be no thugs that get thrown away. "

He continued, "that rag that is over your forehead or out of your left pocket is better served wiping the sweat off your head for the work you are doing on behalf of your community in a way that does not murder other Africans." Mike added, "Your enemy don’t give a fuck what color rag you wear, they’re gonna murder you in the streets and leave you dead for your momma to find.”

Closer to the end of the video, he says, “Your enemy don’t give a fuck what colour rag you wear, they’re gonna murder you in the streets and leave you dead for your momma to find," adding “I’m tired of my enemy looking like me.”
