Kurtis Blow Reflects on Near-Death Experience From Ruptured Spleen
Blow is now a week removed from his second emergency surgery in two years.
As the golden generation of hip-hop ages, many rappers are embracing the notion that health is wealth. Kurtis Blow is the latest example of that. On Tuesday, Blow took to Instagram to reflect on his recent health struggles.
"Last week I had another emergency surgery," Blow said. "My spleen was bleeding into my stomach. I went to the ER just in time because my wife made me go. I wanted to go in the morning. The surgeon said I was lucky to make [it] in time. They took out my spleen and saved my life."
