Lauryn Hill, Antibalas, Ozomatli + More To Play 'Louis Armstrong's Wonderful World’ Festival In NYC
The Louis Armstrong Wonderful World Festival is set to return this year with a formidable roster of performers. The day-long free festival will be gracing Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in Queens June 20th from 12pm-8pm with Lauryn Hill, Ozomatli, Antibalas, Rebirth Brass Band, Nola's virtuosic drummer Shannon Powell and a slew of yet to be named DJ's that are set to spin at the Queens Museum. Feel free to start fantasizing about the innumerable possibilities; Lauryn doing "Dream A Little Dream" or Rebirth doing a Nola brass treatment of "Stompin' At The Savoy" or Antibalas turning "Mack The Knife" into an afrobeat groove, so on, so forth.
While the festival is technically free, you will have to register for it (link provided below) to receive tickets (which will be mailed to you by June 5th) as space is limited. The show will mark Miss Hill's ninth outing in the NYC area in the last few months, and we could not be happier to say so.
