Letitia Wright Will Be Playing Shuri in the Upcoming 'Black Panther' Movie
We've known for a while that British actress Letitia Wright will have a role in the upcoming Black Panther movie. The question was, who would she play?
Now we know.
Writer Eric Vespe, from Aint It Cool, was at Disney's CinemaCon panel in Las Vegas. While there, he snagged a picture showing off the cast of Marvels Black Panther. The photo confirms that Letitia Wright will be playing Shuri, the younger sister of T’Challa/Black Panther, who will be played by Chadwick Boseman.
Spoiler alert, but in the comic, Shuri eventually becomes the Black Panther and ruler of Wakanda. So if this movie becomes a franchise — and face it, it probably will — we could be seeing Wright for a long long time.
The Ryan Coogler-directed Black Panther is coming out February 2018, and we could not be more excited.
