Watch the First Trailer for Lifetime's 'Surviving R. Kelly Part II: The Reckoning'

The three-night special will premiere January 2 at 9 P.M. EST on Lifetime.

Lifetime's original special Surviving R. Kellywas an instrumental factor in the singer's indictment on aggravated criminal sexual abuse charges in February. On Wednesday afternoon, the network released the trailer for the second chapter.

Surviving R. Kelly Part II: The Reckoning will detail the events that have taken place since the special aired. In the wake of its release, RCA Records severed its ties with Kelly. Additionally, survivors who appeared in the series reported death threats from Kelly's former manager Henry Mason. Mason later turned himself into Henry County, Georgia police.
