Lloyd Releases Grainy Visuals For Single "Tru"
Lloyd, the New Orleans born, Georgia raised R&B singer, a man who possesses possibly the coolest born name ever, Lloyd Polite, Jr., just dropped some grainy visuals for his new single "Tru." The track, his first single in five years, was originally released back in May. From his 2004 debut solo album Southside which featured the now classic title track single featuring Ashanti to his second album offering, 2007's Street Love with the hit singles "Get It Shawty" and "You" featuring Lil Tunechi aka Lil Wayne to 2008's Lessons in Love to Lloyd's last album 2011's King of Hearts, Lloyd has been there for us, dropping plenty of heat. The song "Tru," with guitar strings that'll make you feel reminiscent and get you in your feelings, was produced by J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League. Lloyd lays it all out from the jump, saying:
"I lost it all, my friends, my loved onesBut in life there's always a chance to grow
From the struggle, from the pain, from the realness
Here's my story, Lloyd"
Lloyd is, after all these years, working on a brand new EP, which is slated for release sometime this year, or possibly in 2017. In the meantime check out the grainy, vintage looking visuals for Lloyd's single "Tru" below.
