Louis C.K.'s 'I Love You, Daddy' Film Release Canceled Following 'NYT' Report

I Love You, Daddy has officially been scrapped

Louis C.K. may be done for good.

Yesterday, the comedian canceled the NYC premiere of his new film I Love You, Daddy in anticipation of a report from The New York Times that collected the horrific stories of five women who alleged a gross pattern of sexual misconduct towards them. And today, the film's distributor, The Orchard, has announced they're pulling the plug on the film altogether, according to Variety.

The film's cancellation follows HBO's scraping its archive of all C.K.-related content, with FX, a network that holds all three of the comedian's TV series -- Louie, Baskets and Better Things, a show he co-directs and produces alongside star, Pamela Adlon -- likely following suit as they are currently "reviewing" the "matter."

I Love You, Daddy centers on the romance between a 17-year-old and a 68-year-old producer, presented as an homage to Woody Allen's Manhattan, in which a scenario plays out between Allen and co-star, Mariel Hemingway. It was slated for a nationwide release next Friday, November 17th.
