Last week Mac Miller released his fifth studio album Swimming. The album, which deals with themes like depression and heartbreak, is one of the best projects of the veteran rapper's career.
On Monday (August 6th) NPR released the latest episode of their stellar Tiny Desk Concert series.

This episode features Mac Miller performing songs from that album for the very first time. During the 15 minute performance, Mac performed "Small Worlds," the album's first single, "What's the Use?" and "2009."

For this performance Mac was backed by the legendary Thundercat.
The union makes sense: Mac and Thundercat (alongside J.I.D.) will be heading out on tour together. The tour, named The Swiming Tour, kicks off on October 27th.
