De La Soul, The Weeknd, J. Cole + More Rock Made In America Fest [Photos]
The long holiday weekend brought Made in America Festival back to Philadelphia for a slew of epic performances. Its crowd: ecstatic. Its lineup: incredible. Across multiple stages and two days the festival brought some of the most talented and in-demand artists in hip-hop and R&B out to play. We're talking De La Soul, Beyonce, The Weeknd, J. Cole, Big Sean, Lolawolf, Grits and Biscuits, Banks, Jidenna Future, Meek Mill, Vic Mensa and so, so many more.
Okayplayer's ever-intrepid photographer Vickey Ford was on-site to capture the madness, and has already returned with a gallery of lush images. It's clear that Philadelphia popped off. Peruse through the Made in America 2015 photoset above, check out (ICYMI) footage of Earl Sweatshirt performing brand new material from his Saturday showtime, wallow for a minute in the regret of not making it to what may have been the official musical summer blowout of 2015 and join us in clearing off the entire calendar for Labor Day weekend 2016--this is not a part you'll want to miss ever again. The festival was presented in part by TIDAL (Jay-Z is one its organizers, after all), and you can rewatch some of its weekend livestream here.
