Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige Says the End of 'Phase 4' Will Make Clear What's Next for the MCU
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige spoke with Total Film about approaching a "new saga" and ending Phase Four of the MCU.
There's about to be a new spin on the MCU. Ahead of next month's premiere of Thor: Love and Thunder, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige spoke with Total Film about MCU announcements to come this year. In July, the production company will be making an announcement at the San Diego Comic-Con, while also being present at the Anaheim D23 Expo in September.
“As we’re nearing the end of Phase 4, I think people will start to see where this next saga is going,” Feige told Total Film. “I think there have been many clues already, that are at least apparent to me, of where this whole saga is going. But we’ll be a little more direct about that in the coming months, to set a plan, so audiences who want to see the bigger picture can see a tiny, tiny, tiny bit more of the roadmap.”
With Black Panther: Wakanda Forever debuting in November, it looks like Marvel will go from the post-Avengers: Endgame run into Secret Wars as part of Phase Five. Including elements of the multiverse, the Secret Wars comic book series features X-Men, Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, Deadpool, and The Avengers.
Along with the new Thor and Black Panther films, upcoming Phase Four movies include Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and The Marvels. The MCU will also be on Disney+ with series Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Secret Invasion.
Thor: Love and Thunder premieres on July 8.
