Mayer Hawthorne & Kendrick Lamar Embark On A Search For The World's Most Exclusive Soireé In The Clip For "Crime"
Mayer Hawthorne and Kendrick Lamar take to the high seas in an endless search for the scene in the official clip for their collaborative single "Crime" off the 2013 release Where Does This Door Go? While you might remember the CCTV visual we got for the track late last year, this is far from that dystopian narrative, with Q's daughter Rashida Jonesat the reigns as the video's director. Instead of the darkness, Jones brings out a playful light, as Hawthorne goes to cartoonish lengths to attend what appears to be the world's most exclusive soiree and, of course, K. Dot phones in for a quick cameo along the beaten path.
Hawthorne may be hitting ghetto-tech dojo with his fellow Detroit brethren 14KTas dynamic duo Jaded Inc, but that should prove a trip to the beach for a shiny visual for some of this not so solo cool-out joint well worth the time. Take a break from the muggy skies and watch the sunny new clip for Mayer Hawthorne and Kendrick Lamar's "Crime" and cop Where Does This Door Go? via iTunes if you've yet to do so.
