In a report from Billboard, Megan filed the trademark on July 10. This happened to be the same day the rapper responded to a fan saying she was actively "in the process" of filing for the phrase. If approved, the trademark will cover merchandise specifically for products such as hoodies, T-shirts and sportswear.
The phrase, which Megan defines as "being unapologetically you, having fun, being confident" and "living your truth," has taken off this year following the release of her debut project Fever. Countless brands have also used the phrase to promote and market themselves on social media including Wendy's, Duolingo, Forever 21 and Maybelline.
In related news, Megan will be dropping a film interpretation of Fever titled Fever Thee Movie directed by Hype Williams.
Megan previously released a trailer for Fever Thee Movie on Instagram with the caption, "coming soon." The Kill Bill-esque trailer features samurai and kung fu inspired fight scenes and blaxploitation elements, with cameos from Fever collaborators DaBaby and Juicy J.
