Megan Thee Stallion & Popeyes Announce New Hottie Sauce
Houston's Megan Thee Stallion and Popeyes announced the rapper will be launching an exclusive sauce later this month.
Megan Thee Stallion and Popeyes are linking up for a new partnership.
On Thursday, the Houston rapper announced that she was prepping to launch a Megan Thee Hottie Sauce. She also shared that she will be a franchise owner and that she’s set to launch a few locations in the future.
According to Popeyes, the sauce is made with honey, cider vinegar and Aleppo pepper. It also “flaunts a sweet, yet bold flavor with a hint of spice, inspired by Megan's sassy personality.”
Bruno Cardinali, Popeyes’ chief marketing officer shared the following on the upcoming collaboration:
“We have a lot in common with Megan Thee Stallion -- from our southern roots, to our shared love for flavor with a lot of spice, she embodies the proud, spirited, joyful and big-hearted personality we embrace with our food and heritage.”
Popeyes will also be launching a merchandise line that’ll feature bikinis, Popeyes chicken tender plush dog toys, shirts, hats, and more.
Alongside the announcement, a commercial was unveiled featuring Megan. The ad takes on a Western theme and is equipped with the Hottie Sauce displayed on Popeyes cult favorite chicken sandwich (the same sandwich that had the nation in a chokehold).
We can’t help but think of the consistent wins Megan Thee Stallion has been experiencing over the past year. She’s raked in top spots on Billboard charts, dropped her debut album, received a few Grammy Awards and has performed at countless award ceremonies. Now she joins her peers Saweetie and Travis Scott who have previously released successful collaborations with fast-food restaurant McDonald’s.
Megan Thee Stallion’s Hottie Sauce will launch on October 19 at participating restaurants.
