Miami Horror & Queen Magic Roll Out An Extra-Smooth Cover Of Childish Gambino's "Sober"
It was roughly a year ago that Childish Gambinograced us with the eternally-intoxicating summer vibes of his STN MTN/ kauai album-cut "Sober." Since then, it's been relentlessly performed as a staple of his live set and treated to a sci-fi-ish visual by the music video mastermind Hiro Murai, but with there being virtually no sign of new Bino offerings in 2015 (outside of an epic tease at Bonnaroo this year,) we've got a pretty little something to keep you in shining. Aussie synth-pop specialists, Miami Horrorhave the cure for your Bino jones, reconstructing Bino's standout with their own devilishly dope cover of "Sober," featuring recent First Look alum Queen Magicon the vocals. It's a synth-drenched treatment that expands the sparse framework of the track, producing a luscious blend of electronic r&b elements.
With Glover of the musical map for the time being, the world is left speculating as to what the Because The Internet architect has been cooking up between tv and film roles, but this should certainly hold you over.
