Mike Tyson Praises Eminem, Jokingly Tells Him "You're The Only White Guy That Knows What It's Like To Be A Ni**a"
The brief and awkward exchange happened toward the end of Mike Tyson's coversation with Eminem on the former's Hotboxin' podcast.
Eminem served as the latest guest on Mike Tyson's Hotboxin' podcast, where the rapper spoke about his 2020 Oscars performance, his latest album Music to Be Murdered By, the late Detroit rapper Proof and his impact on him, and more. But one of the more amusing (and awkward) moments of Tyson and Em's conversation came toward the end, where the boxing icon praises the rapper for the success he has achieved for himself.

"Everything you got was, f**kin' — not even given to you," Tyson said at the 45:55 mark. "You fuckin' slaved for it, you know what I mean?"
As Em nodded on approvingly of what Tyson was saying, Tyson then jokingly said, "You're the only white guy that knows what it's like to be a ni**a."
"Not sure how to answer that," Em said in response as Tyson followed up on his statement.
"You're one of the few white guys that know that pressure like, 'F**k, I ain't s**t...they treating me like a f**kin' ni**a," Tyson continued.
Likely not wanting that part of their conversation to continue, Em simply replied, "I mean, you know, we all got our story," before speaking on Tyson's cameo in his new video for "Godzilla."
In the conversation, Em revealed that he hasn't watched his 2020 Oscars performance because of a minor technical problem that occurred during the appearance. At one point, while rapping the words to "Lose Yourself," the mic pack Em was wearing fell off. As he continued to perform he tried to put the pack in his back pocket but couldn't. However, he did manage to put it in his front pocket. But by then, the performance was basically over.
"By that time, the song's over, and I'm, like, 'Man, what the f**k?' We rehearsed for that shit — I know the words to 'Lose Yourself,' right — but we rehearsed that shit extra, extra, extra just so we didn't f**k that up," he explained. "And then that was the one thing we didn't plan for, and of course it went wrong...I haven't watched it."
