Missy Elliott Teases Jack Harlow Collabo In Doritos Super Bowl LVII Commercial
A new Doritos promo for the Super Bowl LVII shows Missy Elliott teases a collaboration with "First Class" rapper Jack Harlow.
Missy Elliott and Jack Harlow have joined forces for Doritos. With the Super Bowl LVII just weeks away, Elliott stars in a love triangle themed spot for the famous tortilla chips company, with a potential commercial with Harlow to follow.
“What’s up? Collab? You know I’ve been waiting to collab,” she says on the phone.
“A love triangle?” Elliott says with a puzzled expression. “I don’t know about that.”
While Harlow doesn't appear in the 16-second promo, a message at the end of the clip reads "2.12.2023," suggesting that both artists will be in a Doritos commercial together in time for the Super Bowl.
Last May, Harlow released his sophomore album Come Home the Kids Miss You, followed by a tour with the City Girls. The Kentucky native will also appear in the forthcoming White Men Can't Jump reboot, which is in post-production. Although Elliott has not released an album since 2005's The Cookbook, the rap and R&B artist will be honored during next month's Global Impact Awards alongside Dr. Dre, Lil Wayne and Epic Records CEO Sylvia Rhone.
“Last year’s inaugural event was such a highlight during GRAMMY Week and now with Dre, Missy, Wayne and Sylvia there to pay tribute to this year, it’s definitely going to be another night to remember," Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. said in a statement.
The Super Bowl LVII is set to air on on February 12 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Kick-off will begin at 6:30 EST and the game will broadcast on Fox.
Performances during the pre-show include Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds with a rendition of "America the Beautiful," while Abbott Elementary star Sheryl Lee Ralph will perform "Lift Every Voice and Sing." Headlining the halftime show is global icon and entrepreneur Rihanna.
