Audio Premiere: Muhsinah - "L.M.O." (Giant Step Mix)
Killing 'em with premieres today! Okayplayer favorite and Grammy kid Muhsinah takes a break from singing backing vocals for The Weeknd to come through with the coup de grace in the form of "L.M.O." --a remixed version of her song "Let Me Out" exclusively for the forthcoming Giant Step compilation Sonic Boom, dropping January 28th via bandcamp. This being Giant Step, you know the contents will be top quality but new joints from innovators like THEESatisfaction, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble and Coultrain (scroll down for the full tracklisting) all but guarantee this thing will be essential listening. But don't take our word, stream or download the polyrhythmic brilliance of "L.M.O." to get instantly caught up (the original flavor-version of “Let Me Out” will be on Muhsinah's upcoming album, Amazing, out in March). If this is any indication of what the rest of the compilation is fittin to sound like, Let Us In.
