13 New Albums You Need to Hear This Week
Featuring new albums and mixtapes from Kari Faux, Goya Gumbani, Jay Worthy & Roc Marciano, Arlo Parks, and more.
Even with the dry season ramping up, new albums are still pouring in from across the rap and r&b spectrum.
Kari Faux charts a new path for Southern rap on REAL BITCHES DON'T DIE. Kassa Overall creates a space where all his tastes can collide on Animals. Arlo Parks grounds pop in something vulnerable and organic with her sophomore outing, My Soft Machine. KayCyy and Gesafflestein reunite on a high-voltage follow-up to their three-track collaborative EP from last year. Lil Durk rallies rap elite on Almost Healed. And Monaleo sets the tone on her debut studio album, Where The Flowers Don't Die.
There's also a lux new joint project from Jay Worthy and Roc Marciano, a summer-ready tape from Lil Keke, some holistic funk from Goya Gumbani, and a very different side of podcaster-turned-r&b-upstart, Rory. But that's just half the script.
