Their latest link-up taps into the intoxicating minimalism of Chicago's house legacy, building a dance-floor dagger out of a rubbery bass groove and sparse four-to-the-floor drum programs. For NEZ, the track signals a transition from one-half of a rising Chicago-based production duo (with credits on singles and projects from Wale, Ab-Soul, Chance The Rapper, and more) to the main act. And for Q, it's another standout one-off on the heels of his 2019 album, Crash Talk.
