Back in October it was announced that Colin Kaepernick was filing a grievance against the NFL for collusion. Now, NFL owners are being deposed for cellphone records and emails in connection with the case.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, "Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, Patriots owner Robert Kraft and Texans owner Bob McNair, amongst others" will be deposed. Schefter added that "other owners, teams and league officials also will be deposed," but those revealed have been the only confirmed ones so far.
The grievance was filed "only after pursuing every possible avenue with all NFL teams and their executives," according to a statement from Kaepernick's attorney, Mark Geragos.
Recently also came news that Kaepernick was being excluded from NFL player-owner meetings on social justice.
"We specifically reached out to the [NFL Players Association] and to the Players Coalition [the group led by Malcolm Jenkins] and we were verbatim told that Colin had no role," Geragos said according to a report from Slate.
The report also revealed three different emails between Kaepernick's legal team and officials at the NFL Players Association, in which one of Kaepernick's lawyers notes that the former NFL athlete had not been invited to any upcoming meetings as of Wednesday, October 25.
The emails contrast initial reports that said that Kaepernick had been invited to be a part of these meetings. Recently, it was announced that NFL players had invited NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, McNair, and Kaepernick to a meeting slated for this past Monday.
