NYPD Commander Who Called for Police to Shoot 50 Cent "On Sight" Won't Be Charged
The rapper called the NYPD the "toughest gang in New York."
The officer who allegedly said to shoot 50 Cent "on sight" last year will not be charged.
According to a Sunday report in the Daily News, the police department closed its investigation into Brooklyn 72nd Precinct Deputy Inspector Emmanuel Gonzalez, concluding the comment was a "joke and not a threat."
50 Cent responded to the news on Twitter, writing, "I knew they were not going to do anything about this,so I stop talking about it. NYPD is hands down the toughest gang in New York," he wrote.

It was reported that Gonzalez told officers at a roll call to "shoot [50 Cent] on sight," if 50 appearance at an NYPD boxing match that was taking place last summer.
Gonzalez and Jackson reportedly had an ongoing feud involving one of Jackson's favorite bars in Sunset Park, The Daily News reported. Jackson accused Gonzalez of shaking down the bar in a since-deleted Instagram post.
According to NBC 4, Gonzalez and the rapper reportedly had an ongoing feud.
