Obama Expected To Condemn Trump's Decision To End DACA
A person close to former President Barack Obama said he plans to post a statement on Facebook and link to it on Twitter.
In a report from Politico, former President Barack Obama is expected to speak out against Donald Trump's decision to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. The news of Trump deciding to end DACA, the program which temporarily blocked the deportation of undocumented immigrants who were brought to the country as minors and sought work permits. came this past Sunday. However, Trump's decision also includes a six-month delay which would allow Congress to step in before the protections expire.

In his final press conference as president back in January, Obama suggested that an attack on DACA would cause him to speak out publicly.
"The notion that we would just arbitrarily or because of politics punish those kids when they didn't do anything wrong themselves, I think would be something that would merit me speaking out," Obama said during the news conference.

Trump could change his mind about wanting to end DACA between now and Tuesday when he is expected to announce the program's termination. Depending on how that goes, that will shape Obama's statement according to the person close to him.
