Okayfuture Audio: James Blake x Brian Eno - "Digital Lion" + "Voyeur" (Dub)

James Blake dropped his latest track "Digital Lion" (Voyeur Dub) via DJ Benji B on BBC Radio 1. The track, featuring Brian Eno, is a rework of "Digital Lion" - the second single from Blake's Overgrown released on the 1-800-Dinosaur label. What begins rather peacefully becomes a melody that pushes full steam ahead across the foundation of a dissonant piano chord into a driving dance track full of synth heavy space chords. In this track we find the balance that allows for a marriage of Blake's two distinct styles and personas. The "Voyeur Dub" creates a space in which the soul singer and the dubstep inspired producer can coexist without sacrificing an ounce of sonic integrity. Blake's ambient vocal remains a presence across the entire mix for both tracks. Take a listen.
