Onra Brings Out The Cloaks & Boats In His New Video For "Anything" ft. The Doppelgangaz
Onra has just fired off one of the, well, most singular videos we've seen all year. With the assistance of East Coast hip-hop duo The Doppelgangaz, 'ra has offered up his new clip for "Anything," and we've got one word for you: cloaks.
Decked out in little black riding hoods, Onra and his MC assistants traipse through what appears to be a parking lot for boats, blowing away on an alto saxophone and generally just kicking it in full-on idgaf mode. "Anything" is one of the standout cuts from the French beatmaker's latest LP Fundamentals, and is sure to satisfy those who treasure hip-hop made without reverence or restraint. Giant, crackling 80s drums and synths plucked right from the weirdly great crates of lite FM radio; if anyone could make a great record out of source material like this, it's Onra.
The Fundamentals features guest appearances from Black Milk, Daz Dillinger (Tha Dogg Pound), Chuck Inglish, Suzi Analogue, Do Or Die, Johnny P and others, and was just recently made available on double LP over at Fat Beats, and is of course up for sale in its digital form on iTunes as well. Watch the new video for "Anything" below, and don't even bother preparing yourself. Just let it happen.
