Pass The Popcorn: Ice Cube's Son Cast In Upcoming NWA Biopic 'Straight Outta Compton'
Ice Cubehas reportedly cast his own sonO'Shea Jackson Jr. to play him in the upcoming NWAbiopic Straight Outta Compton. While the project has yet to be clearly green-lit, Cube wasted no time in bringing Jr. along to play Sr, convinced the fruit of his loins bears the same temperament as he at that age. While young Cube may not have the chops under him, Pops seems intent to put one on his sons belt, giving his next of kin a shot to break as he did, but instead being a thugnificent rapper, he'll just have to play one (potentially alongside Eazy-E's son, who is already (kinda) paying homage to his father's legacy.)
While Universal has yet to formally approve the casting decision, it seems Cube might get his way on this one, and either set his son up with the torch to bear or potentially ruin his acting career before it's even started. To Baby Cube's credit, his father reports that he's known the words to Straight Outta Compton since he was two years old. I mean just imagine a child of that age, barely able to walk or keep food in his mouth, standing on the kitchen table reciting Cube's opening verse from "Gangsta Gangsta." That's legendary shit. But it doesn't make him a good actor. We'll see if and how this thing plays out, so be sure to check back with us as the long-awaited project seems to be coming to fruition.
